Development Nepal is a UK registered charity established in 1999 (Charity number 1085199) and works with the poorest individuals and communities in the Sunsari district of Nepal. Development Nepal aims to improve access to essential resources and opportunities, and to help build the knowledge and skills of the communities. It is hoped that this will translate to a change in attitudes and practices.

It’s been a busy first part of 2011 with a new intake of another 10 communities with whom we will be working over the next 5 years, non-formal education training for new facilitators, and recently health camps. In the UK the inaugural Development Nepal Spring Ball helped to raise a significant sum of money while raising Development Nepal’s profile too, and also saw the premiere of the first Development Nepal film.
